DON'T BITE OFF MORE THAN YOU CAN CHEW

This blog is in response to LIVING WORD MORNING MANNA Dec. 8. More so, to the response of the words " to receive", I sensed an urgency to explain. " Enlarge my capacity". I felt a need to divide the bread into smaller portions; enabling the partaker to chew, digest and assimilate successfully. We always desire to receive, but must understand what that entails.

A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO, Pastor Ricky Ferguson served a message, Luke 10:27 was one of the supporting scriptures. The message ministered to me on many levels, but the part that filled me was when God poured His unconditional love into my heart .(not my physical heart but my human spirit). When this happens it 's either a need of healing or deliverance. We are incapable of purely LOVING each other, unless we are filled to the capacity with God's love.

HOW ARE WE FILLED with God's love? We must love God the way He asked us to love Him. Luke 10:27..... " Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind, and love thy neighbor as thyself." When we love like this, it obligates God to return that love. Since God always multiplied seed,His return love will always be in a greater measure. Our love will always be perverted, unless we are filled to an overflow of GOD'S LOVE.

To increase our capacity to receive we must DAILY COMMUNE with GOD. UN- INTERRUPTED INTIMACY. Umm. Spending this time in prayer and in God's word is like planting His word in your heart. Kingdom principle Genesis 8:22, "...as long as the earth remains, there will be seed time and harvest." Many preachers use this verse as a offertory scripture, but I surmise it could be used to position one to receive any thing.

So you want God to increase your capacity?

Here's a thought about increasing our capacity where love is involved, Hebrews 12:6, "For whom the Lord loves he chastens", he disciplines, he corrects. Valuing proper discipline is proof of increasing your capacity to receive. This is bitter-sweet, because most adults don't like to be corrected. Are flesh hates it. But increasing your capacity means to grow and expand, which usually means to change. A sure sign that you are expanding your capacity is maturing into spiritual things which comes about via of discipline.

Now to the " receive part". This is easy, we receive by FAITH. Anything we receive from God is by FAITH. Faith is the way the believer is to to live, Habakkuk 2:4. Interest-lying enough Faith works by LOVE. Galatians 5:6.

CAUTION: Don't take morning manna lightly, it can become much more than inspirational. Holy Spirit takes time to feed us. Don't rush through you meals, without chewing every bite. Believe me I understand your day is busy, but promise me you will take time to read the scriptures given. I purposely only give a portion of the scriptures, so you can make the effort to look it up and read for yourself. This will help you to retain it.Do your part to expand your capacity, you will receive.
